The iPhone 14 Pro and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max may start with more storage of 256GB, instead of the 128GB option previously offered for high-end iPhone models, according to updated forecasts from TrendForce.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the ‌iPhone 14 lineup will be about 15% more expensive than the average selling price for the iPhone 13 lineup, but a higher starting storage option on Pro models may offset the price increases for customers. According to TrendForce, the iPhone 14 Pro‌ and iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max may start with 256GB of storage and not 128GB as previously shown. An increased storage option would make sense given the rumored high prices, but rumors are still conflicting as to whether or not that’s the case.

The iPhone 13 Pro with 256 GB storage costs $1,099, while the iPhone 13 Pro‌ Max with 256 GB storage costs $1,199. According to TrendForce, these prices will be roughly the same as the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max, respectively, with 256GB of on-device storage. Today’s TrendForce also doubled down on previous reports, including the iPhone 14 Pro featuring updated RAM. The ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ and iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max are expected to have the same 6GB of memory as the current ‌iPhone 13 Pro‌ memory, but will use the newer, faster type of LPDDR5 memory.

Other rumored upgrades for iPhone 14 Pro models include a faster A16 chip, a new bead-shaped and slotted notch that replaces the notch, a 48MP rear camera lens with support for 8K video recording, front-facing autofocus, and an always-on display.
