Jay-Z is nicknamed “The Capitalist” and compared to getting racist insults

It’s clear that Jay-Z has God beyond his wildest dreams.

He is not only a world famous rapper (and husband of THEE Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter), but also a successful producer and entrepreneur, with a net worth of $1.3 billion.

Coming where he came from, there’s a lot to be proud of – but not everyone is impressed by his success.

In fact, Jay is often accused of being a capitalist, and his only focus, oftentimes, seems to be solely on growing his fortune – no matter the situation.

Well, he finally addressed that criticism this week on Twitter Spaces — and basically likened it to a way for people to stifle black entrepreneurs.

“We did not stop” began. “Hip-hop is young. It’s still growing. We don’t fall for this trick that the public is putting out there now.”

He continued, “Before that was the American dream: ‘Pull yourself through your boots. You can make it happen in America’.” They began to invent words like ‘capitalist’.”

Jay suggested, to him, that this was like calling someone a racial slur. He continued, “We’ve been called ‘n ******’ and ‘monkeys and shit’.” I don’t care what words you come up with. You must come up with stronger words. We won’t stop.”

Explaining his “development” from a young man selling CDs in New York to now one of the richest people in America, he stated that no one should be made “to be ashamed of being successful in place of setting up a system for [Black people] to be dead at 21” and shared his hope that he would continue to find new financial opportunities.

That frankly prompted more exposure, especially the part where he compared being called a capitalist to being called racial slur.

You make millions of dollars in America, you’re a capitalist. Jay-Z is too old to know this, in his rap about buying paintings and properties, reselling them and making investments, that’s literally what a capitalist does.

No, Jay-Z, we didn’t make the word capitalist to make you feel guilty. We say capitalist to describe someone who owns capital and uses our labor to obtain it. We don’t want you to feel guilty. It is fear. We are coming to confiscate what we have so that we can build a socialist world.

I love the idea that we all came up with the word “capitalist” just to describe Jay-Z https://t.co/RqdBvOhnW8

I’m not even mad at Jay-Z for being a capitalist. I just wish he had it, he stopped trying to break through the fence between that and the “revolutionary”.

Jay-Z says the word capitalist was basically made to keep the black guy frustrated was the laugh I needed today, thanks Jay fr

Jay-Z did not respond to the subsequent backlash, but something tells me we might hear more about this later in one of the verses. we will see.
